Circuleum is a social startup by the planning office Kreativhaltig and the Stuttgart Youth Center Association. We see ourselves as a network of children's and youth circuses, professional artists, trainers, performers, and circus and art enthusiasts. Our goal is to create the most diverse range of offerings possible. We are already working on building a broad network of cooperation partners to initiate a highly participatory process.
The Stuttgart Youth Center Association ( stjg) is the largest provider of open-access children's and youth services. The stjg creates the structural framework for a project like Circuleum. Furthermore, it contributes Circus Circuli, the largest children's and youth circus in Stuttgart, to the project.

The idea
Circuleum is a non-profit project that emerged from the long-standing collaboration between Kreativhaltig and the Stuttgart Youth Center Association. Its goal is to establish a long-term center for performance arts and the arts in Stuttgart, providing a home for the city's many artists. Circuleum is a socio-cultural center that aims to connect and unite the various performing arts. Through its holistic approach, Circuleum creates a meeting place for all artists and cultural professionals, from young to old.

Culture & Encounter
The studio is a place for culture and encounters. It offers space for events, cabaret, and exhibitions, fostering vital interaction with all citizens. Whether it's a flea market, concert, or performance, the focus here is on meeting, exchanging ideas, and getting to know one another. This way, the new space becomes known to more residents, leading to new ideas and further uses.

Movement spaces
The academy is a training center for all movement arts. It hosts courses, workshops, and opportunities for exchange. There are programs for all ages, from young children to adults, as well as open training times. The goal is to provide children, teenagers, and young adults with a space to learn, develop their skills, and create something new together. The academy would finally give the more than 6,000 circus-loving children and teenagers in Stuttgart a shared space for exchange and a sense of belonging.

Experimental area
The project office serves as a contact point for all young initiators and artists. Here, community-oriented and socially responsible ideas receive support. Thanks to KREATIVHALTIG's experience in developing non-profit projects, this office provides a resource where young people can receive guidance in realizing their ideas. The project office not only guarantees diverse and open use of the interim solution but also actively promotes it in collaboration with all citizens.
